How far is the beach?
About 500 m — roughly a ten-minute walk, which guests usually describe as 10–15 minutes at an unhurried pace. That one is Erdemli Belediyesi Halk Plajı, the municipal beach: free, with showers and toilets. Close by there is also Alata, a private paid beach with security, a café, sunbeds and umbrellas.
Is the apartment suitable for families?
Yes, and a good share of the guests have been families. There is a double bed in the bedroom and a fold-out sofa in the living room; the host’s rule is two adults and two children, or three adults. A full kitchen and a washing machine make a difference with children. There is no cot and no high chair, so bring your own if you need them.
Is parking available?
Yes, and it is free — both on the driveway in front of the building and on the street. This is one of the few places in the area with free parking included.
Is there Wi-Fi, and is it good enough to work?
Yes — 75 Mbps, a speed Airbnb verified independently. There is also a wired Ethernet connection, a 32-inch smart TV, and an extendable table you can work at.
What is nearby?
Bus stop 100 m, intercity bus station 250 m, water park 300 m, an A101 supermarket 300 m, the public beach 500 m, and the Nova City shopping centre at 1.4 km. Guests also mention a bakery and a market on the back street and a mosque within walking distance.
Can I stay for a month or longer?
Yes. Stays of 28 nights and more are welcome, and the apartment is set up for it: dishwasher, washing machine, drying rack, a properly equipped kitchen and fast internet. The nightly rate also drops with the length of the stay: 10% off from 7 nights, 20% from 14 and 30% from 20.
How do I get there?
Erdemli sits on the Mediterranean coast road between Mersin and Silifke. The nearest airport is Çukurova International — 103 km, about 1 h 20 min by car. The host can put you in touch with local drivers if you want a transfer arranged. The intercity bus station is 250 m from the door, so arriving by bus works just as well.
Is there heating? Can I come outside the summer?
There is no boiler — the air conditioner heats as well as it cools, and that is enough here. Erdemli winters are mild, the sun does much of the work during the day, and there are warm duvets for the nights. Low season runs December to March at $39 a night, dropping further from seven nights; with 75 Mbps Wi-Fi, a winter month is a serious option.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 14:00 until midnight and check-out is by 12:00. You let yourself in — the keys are in a lockbox and you get the code before you arrive. Luggage can be dropped off around those times if you ask.
Are there any house rules I should know about?
No smoking anywhere in the apartment, balcony included. Maximum three guests. Two upper kitchen cupboards and the drawer under the bed are the host’s and stay closed. Pets are not allowed.
How does direct booking work?
You send your dates, the host confirms availability and the exact total, a refundable $100 deposit holds the dates, and the address and lockbox code arrive before the trip. Utilities and the final clean are already in the nightly rate — there is no cleaning fee, no service fee and no platform commission.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel 14 days or more before arrival and the whole deposit comes back. Between 7 and 13 days before arrival, half of it. Between 3 and 6 days, 30%. Less than 3 days before arrival, the deposit is not returned.
